NEV - Neighborhood Electric Vehicle

Texas NEV "Neighborhood Electric Vehicle" is limited to 35MPH and can travel on any public roadway with a posted speed limit of 45MPH or less.  At an intersection a NEV may cross any Texas public roadway with a posted speed limit greater than 45MPH. TXDMV.GOV

4Q Power NEV meet Texas Specifications

4Q Power provides a Title or Certificate of Origin certifying vehicle as an NEV/LSV.  The buyer will go to resident county tax assessor-collector office provide proof of ownership by invoice of purchase, proof of insurance and Application for Texas Title and/or Registration Form  Form 130-U completed by 4Q Power provided to buyer at time of purchase. nev vehicles lsv vehicles

DRIVER LICENSE NOT REQUIRED

Due to the unique nature of a NEV or LSV "Low Speed Vehicle" there is no State requirement for driver to possess a valid state issued driver license.  However, 4Q Power offers a  NEV/LSV Training for behind the wheel driving and written tests for unlicensed drivers 14 - 16 years old.  The fee for this instruction and testing is $125.


If you have a SUSPENDED license YOU MAY LEGALLY DRIVE a NEV or LSV.  It is similar to driving a bicycle.  If a driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol you may be arrested by any Texas Peace Officer and charged for related offenses. nev vehicles lsv vehicles
